Friends

Spending time with friends before we leave.
Friends we made on the island, friends we made in england
friendships that come from this journey

finished some little trousers for our friends wee one arriving during the summer

shared an English tradition brought by friends for a birthday celebration

a marathon session of mine craft with a friend from rugby

lots of smiles and hugs and promises to meet at a pool one day for a swim - somewhere - not sure where - but somewhere

it is amazing to this little one grow up - she arrived on the island the size of a newborn peanut and is quickly  growing up into an adventurous little girl

So thankful for all our friendships around the world, cooking buddies, knitting pals, exploring teammates, adopted family to share holidays with  - it means so much to make connections along the way, people that understand where we are and why.

    1. Well - the boys and I left England May 1st and will be spending the next three months with family between Canada and Mexico. We will settle in Colorado in August for the school year. Michael is finishing a couple of months in England before doing elective rotations around the US. It has been a wonderful experience in the UK and so glad that we took the opportunity, as challenging as it was at times.

  2. I can imagine how challenging this time must be for all of you! Saying goodbye to all those friends and shared with friends made family holidays. My heart felt like it was going to crack into million pieces each time we moved from one state to another so I can barely imagine the load of loss you must feel, as well as the excitement of new journeys ahead for you all. Love these wonderful photos and I love those sweet knit trousers. Thinking of you all. xo

  3. 'people that understand where we are and why' - so so true. we've said this many times. nobody gets it unless they've been through it themselves. it's so good to have made so many friends on the island for this little support network.
