A few weeks ago we headed up to London to spend some time with our friends who are moving back to the States any day now. We headed to Hyde Park to check out Winter Wonderland.
this christmas market was all about the food - we started out with mulled wine, belgian waffles with chocolate, sausage on a baguette and churros
all the marzipan you could possibly want
next stop pretzels
just a small stack of sausages
a pause for beer
meat on a stick
grilled salmon
roasted chestnuts
we had to try these
these people are crazy - it would be so cold
candy apples - we skipped these but had to warm up with some baileys and hot chocolate
Ro had to try out one game
headed through the park
Jim feeding the squirrel while it was climbing on Ro
Dill and a new friend
Piccadilly Square
I do love wandering around big cities at night and when the weather is cool - the christmas crowds added excitement to the air
China town
after enjoying the city we headed back to Epsom and a delicious dinner at a cozy, little italian restaurant. We had a wonderful day with Jim and Alexi and will miss them on our fun adventures while on this side of the pond. I am sure we will meet up again States side one day soon. Until then we wish you two all the luck on this med school journey and look forward to when we see you next.
Travel Safe - Cheers
That looks like such fabulous fun. We've never been and I would truly love to, but maybe when the girls are a little older. One thing we found out with our trip into London in the Autumn was they were exhausted.

Thank you Nina. Yes the boys get really tired too. We used to head to the city really early but have learned they last longer if we take our time a little bit in the morning and stay later in the day. They will love it when you do make it there.
