Letting Go (of the zip line)

A last day with good friends
A visit to the jungle
A cenote tucked away from the road
Cool water perfectly still
The song of the jungle could be heard all around
A little apprehension of the unknown
The thrill of a zipline
The feeling of the belly in your throat HIGH cliff jump
Shrieks of laughter from children set free
Delicate dragonflies in a magical place

Thank you to good friends for sharing this special day

  1. Oh what fun! the look on the children's faces says it all! what wonder and delight! There is something so blissful about being in the moment and for just one second letting it all go and giving everything up to the few nanoseconds of the fall. bliss and memory making filled.

When do you head to CO? We are going to be there later this month. It would be lovely if we crossed paths! Do you all know where you are hoping to settle? I grew up in Denver and went to school in Boulder so if you need any insights to the area I would love to help out as much as I am able. my email is: pomegranateandseeds(at)gmail(dot)com Please feel free to email my sweet kindred mommy spirited friend if you need anything! xo

    1. We head to CO the 31st of July - will you still be there. We will be settling in with Mike's parents. Thankfully we have lived in the area before and the boys will return to their old school. I am so thankful. I will send you a message.

The cenote was such a magical place. A wonderful experience.

  2. woah! awesome. who's the random little girl? such memories... cenotes freak me out because they can have crocodiles in them - or is it alligators. either way, i'm scared.

    1. That sweet little girl is our friends daughter who lives down here. Haha - no crocodiles in these ones. Although we heard one jump into the water in the mangrove the other day.

    1. Thank you MJ, I would hope it would be one of our fun filled adventure days and not a long day on an airplane haha. I hope you are having a wonderful summer in Colorado.

  4. This little water hole looks like something from a dream. What an incredible place! All I ever hear these days about going to Mexico is, "don't do it, too risky." Glad you guys have a safe little corner of the country to escape to. Is Mike in MI yet?
