The boys have been keeping busy with their plasticine, modeling clay and mini figure painting - I have been madly knitting a gift for a wee one due to arrive any day now.
modeling clay
the plasticine creatures were duplicating very quickly
the boys started classes that teach them how to paint the mini figures in their Hobbit strategy game
it is amazing to watch them so focused on detail for 2 hours
friends of ours are awaiting the arrival of their first any day now which lead me to some mad knitting sessions
Some have asked about where I found some of my yarn so I will fill you all in here. The newborn hat and sweater are a blend of wool, linen, and acrylic from the Wool Bar which is down the street.
all three of these yarns were picked up at a yarn store in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The blue and green hats were Merino Stripes (Crystal Palace Yarns) 90% Merino and 10% Acrylic. The multi colored hat is Mochi Plus (also Crystal Palace Yarns) 80% Merino and 20% Nylon. Patterns are all from Ravelry and partially made up.
this cowl was made with 100% handspun wool from Mancos, Colorado. My sister gave me the yarn and the pattern was mostly made up.
oh what a lovely baby gift! and the boys are always up to cool things.
