Snowy Shoreline

We have had a special treat here on the southern coast of England - SNOW.  It does not snow here often.  The downs keep the cold white stuff north of here and the warm air off the English Channel help out on the southern end.  It has been a different experience watching the snow and the ocean at the same time.  Although I have spent time watching the ocean in cold weather I don't often see the beach covered in snow.  What we see outside our window appears to be a scene of contradictions.

palm branches covered in snow

sea gulls walking through snow??

benches for sitting in the warm sunshine
